quirky, but is she wearing a retainer? she should work for the mayor's office with Austin commerce. another mom with a young kid - again - how is she gonna do this show - SHOULD she do the show?
What you don't know about Melissa is that she has an incredible singing voice, is exceptionally witty and is one of the kindest, most fascinating women you'll ever meet....this girl rocks and she would be an amazing addition to the JB and Sandy Show. She possesses that eclectic Austin thing that makes this city so special and people gravitate to her spirit and her charm. I listen to you guys now and I know that she would be like the icing in the middle of the Oreo cookie... yum!
She is quirky and quintessenial! She is everything that Anonymous above said....and that girl loves and knows Austin. Maybe she SHOULD be working for the Chamber of Commerce!!!
A retainer? That is hilarious! No, I actually had strep throat when I recorded this, but you're right - for some odd reason I kept wetting my mouth. Trust me, I thought I looked a bit strange in that video.
Thank you to my friend Sherie for a glowing review! As for concerns about the single mom thing, or being a mom in general, I understand the comments(I've seen some unkind comments in other posts) because being a mother is a full time gig. I take it seriously, and that is why I thought for long time before submitting my video. With anything I do her best interests are in my forethought.
I have no intention of using my daughter in any aspect of a job. I work eight hours a day right now, and at that job I don't bring my daughter in, bring her up to my customers, I do my job and I do it well. I protect her and keep her sacred, she is her own human being. Now, in radio, personalities often do speak of their families and friends as a part of their profession, just as my grandfather did in the 70s and 80s. In context, with respect and when appropriate, I see no problem with that. And being a mom, while it's a huge part of my life, is far for being WHO I am.
As it stands now, I haven't even tried out for the show, spoken to the cast or gotten an idea of what the gig entails (hours, nights, weekends, bars, parties, etc.) to get the best understanding of how it would effect her life. As it stands now, I'm just a goofy girl taking a chance to see what's what. And you don't get anywhere if you don't take a chance!
She has a fantastic voice and is very quick-witted! I'm sure she could keep up with you guys! She is definitely what Austin is all about. And don't you worry Fundamental: with this woman, "where she has a will, she'll find a way." She always has! She would be a wonderful addition to your show!
