She has a great voice. She's real and down to earth. I think she'd be great!

I think you found your girl! She sounds like she'd be great on the radio and really easy to get along with.

What is with the single mom fetish?

Two out of the three applicants features on the radio show today were. What a horrible demographic shift! One of the reasons I started listening to JB and Sandy is because it is one of the few morning shows that doesn’t have some midlife crisis mom babbling on about her kids (who are just like every other parent’s kids and not unique little snowflakes).

It also disturbs me that they make it a point to say that they are a mom, as if that has anything to do with their talent on the radio. Being a parent doesn’t make you more interesting, doesn’t make you more fit for a job where you have to wake up early and doesn’t make you any different than the relatives, coworkers and friends that everyone has who are in the same position. You get sick and tired of listening to their stories and seeing their pictures. Why would I want to put up with the same from a stranger on the radio?

You’re going to go from Autumn - who was a student at UT with a degree in piano and perusing her own musical career - to someone who’s main selling point is shtick based off being a parent? In the live music capitol of the world? This isn’t some minivan driving cookie cutter suburb.

Was that last comment necessary? Couldn't you have just put, "Not for me"?

I like this girl! She's a natural! She's got great personality! I'm a daily listener, a 33 year old woman, no kids yet, and I think she'd make a good addition to the team.
I'm delighted to see she's been contacted by JB & Sandy.
Best of luck Jennifer!
Hope to hear you soon on the air.

Really like her. Seems down to earth and a I think a lot of woman can relate to her. Even though you have a child does not mean you do not have crazy, fun experiences and stories. Go with her!!!

I think she's really cool. Real, down-to-earth, intelligent, and she's trying to do what a lot of people in Austin struggle with- having a family and having your own life too.
Unfortunately, she's probably too cute for radio.
